- Diigo for me is pretty cool, I like the features where we can add sticky notes and the web browser extension to help us bookmark things in webpages as we find them. The only con for me is that the the layout and design feels a little dated and there’s not much about the site that pops as far as design goes. I feel like there’s more that could be done in that area of the software but I also think that as we create more and more bookmarks, we can make them lively and colorful with different fonts and adding images to bring the pages more to life.
- I love blogging, I like it better through the form of video but I have always been really into writing and sharing my experiences to help others. I was even thinking about starting a blog this year for passive income and using it to discuss the tough times that life encompasses that we don’t always have the ability to share on social media and build a community of people sharing how they get through tough times as well. I think it’s so nice to make and find other relatable, creative content and it helps to navigate the human experience throughout everyday life a little better. As far as how we use it in class, I really like Blogger because it makes blogging simple and it makes starting a blog of my own seem so much easier than I would have initially thought especially regarding copyright and attribution as we have learned how to include that in our blogs throughout the assignments.
- A Web 2.0 tool that has been used in my education experience was Edmodo which was this educational software made out to be similar to Facebook. It allowed students a platform to share their knowledge online regarding their classes and connect with other students for help and group projects. For my Spanish classes, it was used in the same way that we use Twitter for this class to complete certain tasks and make connections. For my classes in the future, I would figure out a way to use this to get my class connected with other classes throughout the country so that they can compare and contrast their learning experiences and learn something from the way other students use the software in their classes as well.
