First Blog Post!
Hi, Blogger! I’m MAY ZHUH and I’m a junior studying education at Florida State University. My number one aspiration in life is to learn all that I possibly can so that I can live a good life and provide a better life for the generations that come after me. I love to cook, my favorite dish is shrimp and grits at the moment. I’m currently pescatarian but my goal is to go fully vegan by May 1, 2020. Some of my hobbies include listening to music, traveling and vlogging on YouTube. If interested, you can watch my videos here: https://youtube.com/channel/UChYRie-eA8Zscl7yjKJc96w
I have had a pretty good experience with using technology in educational setting thus far. It’s never really been anything of a challenge for me, I’ve always been able to quickly adapt to new technologies as technology has gotten more and more advanced. The hardest thing I had to learn when using technology in class was Microsoft Excel but over time it became easier for me once I mastered the basics. It has definitely helped me whenever I needed a spreadsheet and didn’t have time to wait for someone else to make it for me.
My personal online learning networks include but aren’t limited to YouTube Tutorials, WikiHow and TikTok tutorials. I usually use these networks when attempting to learn new skills that will help me make better YouTube videos and promotional content. I would say that I use these networks to help me learn these skills about 2-3 times a week. So far, I’ve learned to edit, make intros, outros, channel art and video trailers with these networks.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, I've been watching many vlogs on YouTube. Many of them are YouTubers living in Asia, because I miss travelling, food, and culture of Asia so much! I also noticed that many people opt to have their own YouTube or podcast channels around this time. I believe that making a video or podcast must necessitate a vast array of skills and knowledge. I'd like to learn more about your experiences and knowledge of making YouTube videos throughout this semester :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I think it's awesome that you have such a dedication to your channel and content, I think it's so cool to see people working hard for something they love so much. I'm also a HUGE fan of shrimp and grits too :) YouTube is one of my favorite sources for learning as well since it's so easy to find helpful information. I'll have to check out your content there!
